BENNY HINN WIFE FILES FOR DIVORCEThe televangelist's wife has filed for divorce after more than 30 years of marriage.
Suzanne Hinn, wife of popular televangelist Benny Hinn for more than 30 years, has filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences after weeks of separation.
Hinn, who travels the world on "miracle crusades" that draw thousands of believers, has been a pastor for 30 years and is based in Texas. His ministry is broadcast around the globe.
A statement released by the Benny Hinn Ministries senior advisor Don Price conveyed Hinn's shock at being notified of the divorce.
"Although Pastor Hinn has faithfully endeavored to bring healing to their relationship, those efforts failed and were met with the petition for divorce that was filed without notice," Price said.
Hinn is no stranger to the public eye. The pastor has often faced criticism for his luxurious lifestyle that includes a private jet and expensive mansion. Many question whether his alleged healings of followers suffering from a variety of illnesses and conditions are actually valid.
Hinn is currently being investigated, along with several other televangelists, about whether he complied with IRS non-profit regulations.
