Easter Life Exhibition for kids & adults 24th March 2010 to Wednesday 31st March 2010
Interactive Exhibition - Easter 2010
Interactive Exhibition for LB Easter 2010The LIFE Exhibition. Who is Jesus Christ? Why did he come? What did he do? LIFE is a mobile exhibition
that helps children (ages 9-11) to answer these questions in an imaginative way. A way that helps them
to think for themselves using interactive technology (PDAs) and presentations. One child learnt to:
'always be kind to someone you don't like', another learnt that Jesus healed a crippled man and turned
water into wine. A teacher praised LIFE saying: ' this is not just about intellectual learning but an
emotional experience as well. A fantastic introduction to the life of Christ, learning about God and what
he has done for us'. Looking at the comments book at the end of one exhibition it is easy to see that
teachers are also moved. One minister who was organizing visits from local schools recounted seeing
tears running down one teachers face.
From its beginning in March 2006 to April 2009 over 30,000(now over 40,000) primary school children
have experienced the LIFE exhibition. LIFE is aimed at two different audiences – 1) during the day, the
exhibition is open for Key Stage 2 schoolchildren. The exhibition is hosted by a local church (or
churches) and invitations are given to primary classes to visit during the day. 2) In the evening, LIFE is
usually open to the general public.
